Protective Style

Everyone who knows me know I have a love hate relationship when it comes to my natural hair.  Although the struggle to maintain my hair the bigger it gets been real, I’ve found some  ways to minimized hate.

No secret my hair grows faster in protective style. By protective style I mean braids. My go to is always a nice human hair lace wig that looks somewhat natural and compliments my face. Underneath that wig my hair looks like the above picture.

More over, let me tell you when the struggle get’s real.

WASH DAY!

It’s nothing to play with it practically takes me the whole day. Now imagine dedicating your only day off to your hair. (marinate on that) In the beginning I was washing my hair almost every week.  However, as  my natural hair  gotten thicker, I soon realized I was not about that life.  But I must say that washing my hair frequently, play a big part in my hair growing so fast.

Majority of the hair style in 2017 and the year  before that is what helped me to maintain length and thickness. I had braids, and plaits through out the journey of my growing crown, and dont let the wigs fool you either because the braids underneath was happening!
